The Hellenic Society of Maritime Lawyersisanon-profit organisation and has thepurpose of making widely knownand, where necessary, improving the legal services and the dispute resolution procedures offered by the Greek maritime lawyers and the City of Piraeus to the shipping community. This community consists not only of shipowners and seamen, but also of a wide spectrum of associated businesses such as banks dealing with shipping finance, charterers, shippers, shipbrokers, agents, shipbuilders and other related services.

Members of the Society are Greek law offices specialising in shipping law. No legal services are provided by the Society itself.

Such services are offered by the individual law offices - members of the Society.
